Why Volunteering ??

Volunteering as an individual or group with Anamnagar Polyclinic and Community Hospital will undoubtedly be a life-changing experience. It will allow you to practice your knowledge and skills along side local doctors and healthcare professionals while helping the underprivileged local population.

As a volunteer, you get a completely different experience to that of the average tourist. Accommodations will be provided on site. This means that you get to experience life as the locals live it - both an eye opening and an interesting experience!

Any volunteer interested in joining our healthcare programs is required to provide certification or proof of enrollment in a healthcare program to ensure both individual and patient safety. Primarily, volunteers assist local doctors and medical staff in the treatment of patients; however, volunteers are free to participate in other programs within the hospital such as record keeping, sanitation, nutrition, or treatment of minor injuries.

Goals of our VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

Anamnagar Polyclinic aims to coordinate socio-cultural interactions between volunteers from all over the world and Nepal by creating opportunities to exchange their experiences and skills with local healthcare professionals.

Our main goal is to offer volunteer programs for those who are interested in experiencing a new and unique way of life, while contributing their time and skills to benefit worthwhile community services throughout Nepal.

Volunteers who work for longer period need to register with the local medical or nursing council, or other appropriate government authorities.

Why program fees?

Anamnagar Polyclinic and Community Hospital is an independent, non-profit organization. As an organization that participates in international volunteer programs, Anamnagar Polyclinic volunteer programs are funded entirely by volunteer contributions. Thus, we charge our volunteers a nominal amount for raising the funds needed to carry out all of our many projects. The volunteer program is from 4 to 18 weeks of duration and fees range from 450 to 950 Euro. The fees are to be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu.
